"Suiboku Drawing in English!"
Experience the Essence of Chinese-Inspired Ink Painting
Have you ever imagined expressing the vastness of nature with a single stroke of black ink?
Join our Suiboku drawing class for beginners, taught in English, and explore the refined art of traditional Chinese-style ink painting (…–n‰æ, Suibokuga) ? a practice deeply rooted in classical Chinese and Japanese aesthetics.
Unlike casual ink sketching or "Sumi-e", Suibokuga follows established brush techniques, composition rules, and philosophical concepts inherited from ancient Chinese masters. This is not mere illustration ? it is a sophisticated art form where even one stroke reveals the artist's spirit and worldview.
Youfll learn how to prepare and use the brush and ink, and how to draw expressive lines and washes that form natural elements like flowers, leaves, Chinese landscape... (Color pigment techniques are also available upon request.)
